The last few months have been spent creating commissions and experimenting with new techniques and ideas.
Some of my favorites have been this painting "Flock" for a family who celebrates Shabbat, and wanted to capture the feeling of the family dinners. Completed on a 3 x 4 ft cradle board it is the largest oil in the series so far and I loved scaling up these concepts.
The second is a sketch I completed titled "Raw". I looked back at a collection of work I completed mostly in graphite with hints of paint and wanted to revisit that approach. I plan to explore the nest in full color at some point down the line as well. I can't wait to create more oil paintings and sketches the rest of the winter before mural season is in full swing again.
