Porcelain

I had this idea rattling around for a while to create a piece inspired by Kintsugi, broken ceramics and porcelain pottery that is repaired using gold or copper in the cracks. I was also inspired by the blue and white painted porcelain and combined these ideas into a surrealist portrait. It's always fun to explore a new idea, and paint something a little different than my usual style.

I'm showing this piece at Truss House in Denver as part of the Babe Walls annual women's history month show. The opening will be from 5-9 on March 14th and the piece will show until the end of the month!
