Crush Walls Take 3!

marissanapoletano

Somehow amidst all the craziness of this year, Crush Walls still managed to throw one of the best mural festivals again! It was an honor to be invited to participate in this festival another year and play a small role in bringing fresh art to Denver.

I've always said one of the most important things to me as an artist and as someone living here, is the sense of community. It's been hard to find that with 2020 throwing everything at both the proverbial and literal wall, so seeing friends and artists come together this past week was revitalizing.

This piece was another collaboration between myself and my brother and sits between Bierstadt Lager and Deep Roots Winey at 2875 Blake St. in the Rino art district. It is one of my favorite pieces we have created together thus far and means a lot to me, not only in subject but in the process. It was my first mural created with brush paint and there is definitely a learning curve, but I think the combination of my work and my brother's spray paint came together in the end.
